Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born into a mixed ethnic family. Her father is Nigerian and Swiss, while her mom is English. She was a student at The Brit School when she was 14 years old. She received her Bachelor of Arts in acting at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. In her time at the school, she performed in numerous stage plays, like King Henry V's Princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe started her acting career through a short film called Storm Damage. She has appeared as a guest on Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's film debut was in Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), alongside Colin Farrell. After the film's success, Madekwe was cast as Elisha in The BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN as well as in six episodes Trexx and Flipside. In 2008, she got Bambi's character on ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. The actress was on the series 2 and 3. Madekwe played the lead role in How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others, a comedy that was released in the year 2008. Some of her theatre credits are Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) and Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe was officially introduced to her US debut with The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show aired just two episodes on The CW, and was later removed from the air. Ashley Davenport, a character in ABC's Revenge drama, was chosen to play Ashley Davenport. Madekwe appeared in all episodes of the series' initial two seasons as an regular. But in May of 2013, it was announced that word broke that the actress would be departing the show following her guest appearance on the premiere episode of its third season. The actress portrayed Tituba in the TV show Salem from 2014 until the year 2016. Then, in June of 2012 Madekwe was married to her long-time love actor Iddo Goldberg. They have worked together in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl in the past, and Goldberg has also appeared alongside Madekwe in the television series Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actor who was raised by an extended family. She was the daughter of Roy and Patty Leggat. Her parents were Roy and Patty as well as her four brothers -Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. Ashley's athletic brothers played baseball during summers and hockey in the winter. Ashley had never been able to walk. She would dance. At two and a half and a half, she was a part of Baby Ballet. Ashley was hooked on dance from that moment. Ashley was a competitive dancer in all the major categories until the time she graduated from high school. The competitions she participated in included ballet, tap, jazz and pointe, as well as the acrobatics. She was the top soloist in major competitions such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and many more were awarded to Ashley.
