Julia Fiona Roberts was born in Atlanta on the 28th of October, 1967 in the home of Betty Lou Bredemus and Walter Grady Roberts. Roberts is from the fourth generation of Roberts family that lived in Atlanta. The story began with her great grandfather John Pendleton Roberts who was a farm. She inherited her father's interest in the theatre at a young time. As a student of Emory University in 1952 he acted in productions on campus as well as in other parts of Atlanta. He joined the air force in 1953. During his time being stationed at Biloxi Mississippi was cast in the military's production, which featured Betty Lou Bredemus who was part of Air Force. The couple got married in 2005 and had their first child, Eric Anthony in 1956. Walter attended Tulane University at New Orleans, Louisiana in 1957 after they had separated from the US Air Force. Walter became a member of Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio after they moved their family from Atlanta to Georgia's Decatur in 1960. Walter as well as Betty Lou produced a Saturday morning show on local television for children called Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964, a project they self-financed. In 1964, Walter and Betty Lou founded The Actors and Writers Workshop. It ran for 6 years. The couple had another two children, Lelisa Billingsley (1965) (also called Lisa), and Julia Billingsley (1967) (also also known as Julie).
