Harry Edward Styles is an English singer, songwriter and musician. He was a member of One Direction. His parents are Des Styles and Anne Cox. The couple were born on the 1st February 1994 in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, which is where alongside three other students, he created his musical group, White Eskimo. They won the Battle of Bands in 2009 because of their exceptional performance. He has always been fascinated by music, despite his enthusiasm, he was looking at becoming a lawyer as well as a physical therapist. In order to support his loved ones, he took some time as a part-time worker at a local bakery. For the year 2010 Harry Styles presented audition for The X Factor where he did the track Is not She Lovely by Stevie Wonder and was selected. The reason for this is that his group ended up splitting. Nicole Scherzinger proposed to Harry Styles to be member of the new group, One Direction. The other members were Liam Payne Zayn Mallik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell was the sponsor of this group, which started in 2010. They sang the Kelly Clarkson song My Life Would Be Sucky without You and Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart at the time of the competition. This allowed them to be one of the frontrunners. However, they finished third behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Even though Harry Styles and his group were not crowned winners, Cowell paid a contract of 2 million pounds for One Direction to sign with the Syco music label.
